About the Discovering Buddhism Program
Discovering Buddhism is a 14 module correspondence course. Students can choose to participate on a casual basis or to pursue a certificate of completion for each module by participating in retreats, meditations, reading translations and texts, and listening to lectures. This program is not designed as an academic study of Buddhism but is intended to change a person's life.
Each Discovering Buddhism module consists of teachings, meditations and practices, readings, assessment and quiz questions, and a short retreat. Students may do some or all of these components of each course, as they wish and are interested. Those who complete all the components receive a completion card for that course. When all fourteen modules have been completed, students receive a certificate of completion!
An enrollment key is required to access these courses, which can be purchased in the Foundation Store or which can be obtained as a benefit at certain levels of the Friend of FPMT program.
We are pleased to offer Discovering Buddhism Module 2 'How to Meditate' at no charge. The enrollment key for Module 2 is calmabiding07
